I think I have said it repeatedly on the blog over the years but the one thing I regret not getting for our wedding back in 2010 was a videographer. It is the one thing I answer when someone asks me what I would change about my day. There is something that film of the day captures that photos can’t, especially when it comes to speeches, the first dance and the pure joy when you leave the ceremony. Whilst photography is so important, the emotions captured in film is something else and James does a superb job.

Storytelling is our passion and we’re dedicated to making sure your story is told in the most personal, honest and emotive way possible. We will capture those special moments on film for you to treasure for a lifetime.

Our style is personal and emotive, documentary style. Imagine all of those golden moments that you can’t replicate, a family member laughing uncontrollably, a father- of-the-bride crying, your grandparent doing a classic wedding dance. Our films will tell the story of one of the most important days in your family’s history.

There’s just as much choice when it comes to videographers, and their different styles so its worth having a look around and see who’s style suits you, I love the way James captures all the important moments of the day but also some really sweet candid moments that you may forget as the years go on.

I’ve found over the years that more people look natural in front of the camera if they know its film rather than having to pose for a photo and it means that usually the overall feel of the videos are a lot more laid back, relaxed and full of laughter. Which really, is exactly how you want to remember your day.

Thankfully one of my husbands friends filmed some clips from the day and put it all together for us and whilst it was captured on an iphone, it has parts of the day I don’t remember, such as speeches and also has friends and family on there who are sadly no longer with us and its lovely to put it on and watch them. I hope this post has helped you decide whether you want a videographer and showing you Blue Sage Films beautiful work.
