Good afternoon! Ahhh back in to the world of weddings, and how I have missed it. I love looking in to couples special day, mainly because I am nosey by nature but the happy photos, the beautiful clothes, the stunning flowers and locations, how can you not love it. Today’s wedding is a treat because the couple budgeted 10k and spent 8k, I also think Lyndsey and Jonny’s wedding is a great example of using your budget well. Lyndsey’s dress was under £100 and I don’t think you can tell, the venue does a great package and includes entertainment, food etc and they got family friends to help where they could. On top of this, beautiful photographs of the newly weds in the rain, because hey this is England after all. I hope you love this wedding as much as I do.

Flowers: My hair piece was a flower crown made by the lovely Gemma at the Topiary Tree in Malton. She added some paper flowers from my bouquet to tie the two together.
Bride’s dress /shoes: My dress cost a whopping £69.99 from Chi Chi London. I ordered it online so no fancy wedding boutiques piling on the pressure. I then paid £20 to have the neck altered slightly. Charlotte Lucy from Malton did that for me. My shoes were Benjamin Adams London, in the sale at Debenhams (£40 down form £80)
Bride’s hair accessories/veil:
My earrings were handmade by a local company called Gale & Temple
My hair & the bridesmaid hair was done by my lovely colleagues, Andrea & Lyona from Hairbox in Malton.
My makeup was amazing & done by Annie from Halcyon in Malton.
The bridesmaid dresses were from Debenhams & they wore there own shoes.
Jonny hates hiring suits. He’s small so always feels like they don’t fit accurately so he sourced all the Groomsmen outfits including his own, trousers, waistcoats & bowties from ASOS. The Groomsmen then wore there own white shirts & shoes.
Wedding favours were a pin badge for AFE Amniotic Fluid Embolism. We lost my cousin to this 9yrs ago so it was our way of having her there with us.
My cake was made by the lovely Katalin Tolnai from Kati’s Cakery in Malton/Norton.
My wedding stationery was all down to a lovely family friend called Tracy Ruane from Ink Pot Crafts. She isn’t local to Malton but she was amazing at making sure I was happy with every single detail!! She made my “will you be my bridesmaid cards, save the date cards, invites & then last but not least my amazing bridal bouquet, three Bridesmaid bouquets & all my boutonnières from book pages & buttons.
My favourite moment was walking the grounds of The Talbot with my new husband with Fiona hot on our heels capturing these moments for us to treasure forever.
Honeymoon was Australia for Christmas we have lots of family in QLD & some friends in Melbourne so we spent an amazing Christmas with family & a fabulous NY with friends!!
My top tip would be not to worry about the weather!! It rained pretty much all day on our wedding day but I think that somehow made our day better. Our brolly shots are GORGEOUS!!!
