Good morning all. I am so sorry for the lack of weddings on here recently, I have been struggling a little bit behind the scenes and sadly blogging had to take a back seat. I am so happy to be back, and with this beautiful wedding. The bride, Jeska owns a bridal boutique so you can imagine how gorgeous her dress was, their whole wedding looked the epitome of woodland charm and magic. Jeska made not only her dress, but the bridesmaids, the page boys accessories and the groom’s and groomsmen attire.

photography | Olegs Samsonovs

The dress was by Jeska Hammond – The Bridal Boutique of Jules. Working with amazing, beautiful dresses/fabric on a daily basis and seeing beautiful girls in incredible dresses as my job made my decision to choose a wedding dress really hard. So I decided to design and make my own dress with the help, love and support of two very dear friends of mine from The School of Stitch in Ashford, Kent.

Shoes were Rachel Simpson

All were made by The Bridal Boutique of Jules for each individual. Absolutely love that tie!

Mark and I both knew what we wanted so we’re lucky enough to know just the lady that could make it happen. Karina, only our celebrant but also a Smootch representative. Mark has a rose gold band with my fingerprint engraved all around it and I have a very simple little rose gold band with diamonds.

Aston Martin DB5 was a surprise for Mark to take him and his best man to the woods and then Mark and Jeska to the reception (all arranged by marks brother Phil) Astonmartindb5hire.com. Guests were taken to and from the woods on a vintage red London bus – marshopper ltd We are extremely lucky to have two amazing friends that are florists. I chose all of my flowers (with mums love for flowers in mind) and Kirsty – Contemporary Flowers, Canterbury, Kent and Louise – Lillies and Lace, Deal, Kent created my exact floweragious vision.

Hair and make-up Artist – Bianca Gutsell – New Cheveux, Deal, Kent.

A very special woodland and The Coastguard on The Bay, St Margarets at cliffs, Kent.

Our main inspiration for the whole day was to have a very relaxed and fun filled wedding. Having lost my mum several years ago I desperately wanted her to be a big part of our day too. As a little girl mum would always take me to a particular woodland in May and sit me amongst the bluebells/primroses and take endless photographs of me. It has always been a very special place that we have always visited to not just see the flowers, but to also make camps, run wild, swing on rrope swings, have picnics and generally just have lots of fun and get very muddy!! It was our perfect wedding venue!!!

Fred- named after my dearest grandad, our little 5 year old son ‘walked me down the woodland path’.. With no other family members left it was the right thing to do, but hence the ‘walking down the woodland path’, we didn’t like to say he was giving mummy away.

The Bridesmaids dresses were multiway dresses designed and made to measure by Jeska, The Bridal Boutique of Jules. Rose gold flats from Next and I used on of the spare bridesmaid dresses to cover the little heeled shoes. Flowergirl dresses were from Joules and Page Boys from M&S, but the waistcoat/tie and hankie all made and designed by The Bridal Boutique of Jules.

Words can not express how amazed we still are as to how wonderful Olegs Samsonovs photography were. We can not recommend Olegs and Rita enough. They are such a wonderful couple and together make an incredible team. They captured our vision, the fun, the love and the laughter absolutely perfectly. We will forever be thankful to them both and honoured that they were part of our special day. The clambering over the woodland logs and the tottering over the beach was soooooo worth it. We simply love every single image that Olegs captured.

The venue has been recently refurbished by Shepherd Neam in a seaside theme so we didn’t want to spoil its already lots of interesting features.. We simply accessorised with lots and lots of beautiful flowers in random copper painted bottles/jars.

Thomas Abrahams – acoustic guitarist who learnt new songs especially for our day. He played in the woods and during afternoon tea.
Evening music was courtesy of Kevin Iverson – solo guitar / singer.

Mark and I both have a love for cheese cake, especially Kerensa’s cheese cake (The Coastguard owner) so we opted for nine strawberry and malteser cheesecakes!!!! As well as a beautiful little cake designed and made by my lovely friend Brook.

Let it be!!!! Please enjoy the planning, enjoy sourcing everything, and most importantly enjoy the build up ad everything together, your day will be magical and will all come together as you envisage it. The stress and worry will all be worth it.
