Good morning! Ooooo pretty wedding alert! Kate’s gown is beautiful, the beading and back detailing is stunning. I loved putting this wedding together as the photos are not only beautifully shot but there are so many great images of the reception, I love the way Emma has captured the guests. She has captured how wonderfully happy and giddy everyone feels at a wedding (especially when all the serious bits are done). Beautiful wedding, congratulations Kate and Dan!

Dress was Gino Cerruti, bought from Couture and Tiaras in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.  Shoes from Next!

Bride’s hair accessories/veil:  My birdcage veil was purchased from LILYINWHITE on Etsy

The perfume:  Jo Malone – Layered Peony & Blush Suede with Wood Sage & Seasalt scents

The equally amazing Sharon Mesher.  I have her a brief of dark purples and greys, said I wanted something ‘messy’ and she just did her thing!  I knew we’d be in safe hands and was happy to leave it with her.

Bridesmaids dresses were from ASOS.

Gem Ryder did a marvellous job on our make-up and hair was by Naomi Ames – Both understood what I wanted perfectly (even if I didn’t know at times!)

Grooms suit was from Next and shoes were Ted Baker

Groomsmen’s outfits/accessories:  Groomsmen wore French Connection suits, posher than the groom!

Trevenna Barns, Cornwall

So hard to pick one!  Probably standing together saying our vows, it was so emotional and lovely.  I also LOVED Dan’s speech as he’s not one for feelings and emotions but it was really heartfelt and beautiful.

We stayed at Trevenna the night before the wedding with all of our guests and had dinner, two wonderful breakfasts, as well as the main wedding breakfast and everything was spot on!  Freshly cooked and so delicious.

The amazing Emma Latham at Freckle Photography.  We met Emma not long before the wedding due to a series of failed meetings (due to weather and a vets visit!) and mostly because living in Sussex, we don’t visit Cornwall often!  From the moment we met we knew we’d made the right choice.  Her work is utterly incredible and she is just the most friendly, lovely lady!

In the marquee we had some fabulous purple and grey lanterns from The Hanging Lantern Company.  I met with them at their office and went through our plans and they were so helpful.  We didn’t have a theme as such but wanted everything fairly relaxed and focused on the colours grey and purple, but without it all looking too ‘matchy’.

Mark at Trevenna made our delicious cake – Red velvet is my (Kate’s) ultimate fave so we had one layer of that, one plain sponge and one lemon sponge.  Our cake topper was also purchased from Etsy and had a very poignant message for us.

Our wedding favours were blackcurrant and vanilla macaroons that safely made their way from Sussex, courtesy of Becky at The Garden Chef.

Our wedding invites, signs and menus on the day were designed by our friend in Sussex, James Vaisey – They were so us!

We were lucky enough to be gifted the use of a stunning house on a private island in Antigua.. Heaven!

Jamie Reed, DJ in Cornwall provided our fantastic disco, he judged the music for the crowd just right!  We had Lucy Anna and her guitar during the drinks reception, who was great and so young!

We were engaged for two years before the wedding, so I’d have to say preparation is key!  Whilst we changed our minds on a couple of things, we had a clear vision and knew what we wanted.  Because everything was planned, there was little to no stress on the day or leading up to it.

Where did you find your inspiration?  I had an idea of what I wanted when we first visited Trevenna, so that along with a mixture of Pinterest and other blogs.
