The Holiday / Honeymoon Beauty Edit {What To Pack} |UK Wedding Blog

Good morning! So this is my last post for a couple of weeks as I leave for holiday on Sunday (my first in two years – excited doesn’t come close!). I’ve been planning a honeymoon/holiday beauty edit for a while and since I’m actually packing to go away, now seemed the time to write this post!

As I’m sure you can imagine, this is the pretty version of what I’ll pack – a lot of this will be decanted into less glamorous plastic tubs and bottles, but it is actually what I’m taking with me. It’s also worth saying I’m a chronic over packer (I’ll show the makeup I take on Snapchat – prepare to be appalled) so I know more low maintenance gals will not necessarily be taking this much, but all of these products are amazing for sunny climes, and lots are multi purpose and will serve you (and probably anyone you are travelling with) for plenty of eventualities. And everything is coming with me in this amazing Emma Lomax bag too (how cute?!)

H A I R

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo & Conditioner ~ these are perfect for my hair extensions as they are sulphate-free – I have to say the choice of SF is not super extensive, and these are a new purchase (currently using L’Oreal Expertise) but I think these will be super nourishing on my hair in the sun and gentle on my bonds.

Philip Kingsley Swimcap – ideal for holiday, this stops colour fading and has UV protection to stop sun damage and breakage. Pop onto wet hair. Originally formulated for Olympic swimmers!

Liz Earle Hair Oil (not pictured) – hair oil to smooth post pool dryness is essential for most hair types in humidity. If you have fine hair prone to greasiness, just use a little though the ends and miss the scalp entirely.

Colour Wow Kale Cocktail Bionic Tonic – in love with this! Add a small amount to towel dried hair and dry to soft, strong, smooth locks. This is a sulfur rich leave in supplement to detangle, strengthen and reduce breakage from the first use.

S K I N

Dermalogica SPF 50 – this travel size will be enough for my face for a fortnight. Religious on high SPF on my face, and a must to prevent pigmentation and premature raging. This is water resistant and non greasy, so fingers crossed it won’t break me out.

Jane Iredale SPF 30 – If it does however, as some sunscreen does on acnegenic skin like my own, I’ll switch to this mineral powder sunscreen. Amazing if you are sensitive to cream SPF.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream – if you’ve never tried this, you’ll love it. Multi purpose, this will serve you for dry patches, sun burn, wind burn, bites, sore lips, pretty much anything.

Clarins Hydroquench Mask For Dehydrated skin –  sun exposed skin is likely to be more dehydrated skin, so treat it with extra moisture after you expose it! I’ll be aiming to get this on at least once a week, and I may sleep in it if I feel super parched.

Avene Thermal L’Eau Spray calming, softening, refreshing hydro mist.

Foreo Luna – deep cleansing pulsating travel sized tool to combat fine lines and increase product absorption (more on this in my cleansing post)

Various skincare minis and samples – in the interests of space saving, I try to collate minis and samples of my favourites to take away, from gifts with purchase or purchases.

B O D Y

ANP Skin Defender Capsules – a pre sun supplement to help defend skin against the harmful effects of the sun. I’ve been taking one a day for the last 7 weeks or so in preparation for holiday, and the Vit C, E  Selenium & Zinc offer antioxidant protection.

La Roche Posay SPF 30 – cult favourite brand, perfect skin kind suncare.

Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion – this is perfect for post sun dryness – rich and packed with shea butter.

Diptyque Fragrance Samples – these are all musky, incensey and just amazing for holiday vibes, plus it saves me from taking anything full sized! (not saying I won’t buy anything at duty free, mind)

Philosophy Amazing Grace Shower Gel (not pictured) – delicate, soft and powdery fragrance to feel clean and refreshed.

Hope you have a lovely couple of weeks, and I’ve got loads of exciting posts planned for when I get back which I can’t wait to get started on!
