Afternoon all, Rebecca went to the most beautiful afternoon tea at Clifton Nurseries on Wednesday (you can see pics on SYGM insta) to celebrate the launch of Georgie Newbury’s new book ” Grow Your Own Wedding Flowers’. I know that it is an idea a lot of brides may toy with, but get put off. This book helps you every step of the way, from choosing, to planting, to cutting and arranging.
As I am sadly not a bride to be (wahhh) I thought I would give away my copy, it would make for an excellent christmas gift for a green fingered bride, or for a florist looking for inspiration. The photography is gorgeous and the real weddings featured are full of so much pretty. To enter, simply leave a comment below telling me your favourite flower! I will choose a winner next weekend and get it sent out to you as soon as possible!
If you are not digging (fnar) the whole ‘grow your own’ experience you can hire Georgie to do all the work for you. Visit Common Farm Flowers for more information.
I know they are old fashioned, but I have a soft spot for sweet peas – they just smell so gorgeous!
I just love roses, pastel coloured and delicate ones. I also love eucalyptus, the colour, the feel, the smell. Lovely!
Rachel! You have won. Please may you email me phoebe@soyouregettingmarried.com xx
Ooooh thanks how exciting!
