I always knew who was going to be doing my cake and that was my family’s bakery. Founded by my grandfather and now run my by uncles, I grew up on Lincolnshire plum loaf, millionaires shortbread and the threat of being sent to the bakery to put cherries on all the Belgian buns.
I knew that I wanted a tier of carrot cake. It is my absolute favourite, aside from that I wasn’t fussed. Michael chose chocolate then we agreed on a top tier of traditional fruit. I also knew I just wanted them to be iced plainly so I could put flowers on it. I managed to get a bite of each and they were all just as yummy as I remembered. Make sure you get to try some of your cake!!
