We loved it so much that we couldn’t wait to return so have already booked another trip for next September {more on that below}. Picture perfect wedding stationery

By Gemma

Having created other people’s wedding stationery I was a mixture of nervous and excited to create my own.  Our Save the Dates were a little rushed, so I wanted to put more thought into the design behind our invitations.

My starting point was of course Pinterest, where I got a really good idea of what I liked. I fell in love with simple designs with delicate fonts and watercolour details. I’m also a lover of anything grey and marble (cliché I know) so this got incorporated into the designs. It has also inspired a lot of our wedding décor (more on that in another post).

Save-the-Date Etiquette & Ideas

You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. Or so the saying goes. That’s why if you’re tying the knot in the not-too-distant future, it’s so important to get your Save-The-Dates right.

For many of your nearest and dearest, your wedding Save-The-Date is the first impression they will have about your upcoming nuptials and your new identity as a married couple. Because of this, your Save-The-Dates should be as inspired and individual as the unique union you are about to embark on. Read More

Welcome The New Mr & Mrs Burridge…..

By Delia

We only went and got married on Saturday!!

I’m still recovering 3 days later, but what a fantastic day we had. My feet still haven’t touched the floor as I’m coming to terms with being a Wife. We had such a great day which far exceeded my expectations I couldn’t have hoped for a better day.

The few days before the wedding were chaotic to say the least and things started to fall apart and go wrong, but I was confident it would all come together on the day. The day before the wedding, I worked tirelessly preparing the venue with the help of some friends and family. We had our wedding rehearsal at 6pm, both children needed a wee during this, of course. I didn’t sit down until 10pm, I barely slept that night as I just couldn’t switch off, not even the gin helped.Read More
