Good afternoon! I hope you had a lovely bank holiday? The sun shone for most of it here in Yorkshire which was a superb treat. A lot of my friends got engaged over the weekend which was unexpected (purely just for the time of year) but so happy for them all. They have all the fun of wedding planning to come. First stop? I think a date but then definitely the photographer! Today we have a fun interview with wedding photographer James Malkin we ask who his photographic influencers are, and what his favourite food is. All the essentials.
You’ve just got engaged! Woohoo. And before all the hard planning begins you should celebrate with all your friends and family, that means an engagement party. This is the perfect time to introduce both sides of the family to one another.Read More
Afternoon! A little update for those of you looking to get married in the East Midlands, there are 3 incredible venues you need to know about and can visit for upcoming wedding events this summer. Calke Abbey is stunning, and the glasshouse at Clumber Park would be perfect for summer wedding photos and Stancliffe Hall fulfils the grand, romantic whimsy in me. Basically, I can’t chose between them, they are all stunning!
With all of the madness in the days before the nuptials, packing for the honeymoon (or in my case mini-moon) is likely to be the last thing in your thoughts. With that in mind, I have put together a slightly alternative blog post for those like me that are having a stay-cation in the wonderful UK!
Morning all! Well we kicked off #marriedmay in a wonderful fashion yesterday, thank you to everyone who has taken part so far. If you want more details here is last years post on it, blurb is the same and I would love for you to get involved. Shall we crack on with today’s gorgeous day? We have skipped ahead a couple of seasons to a luscious gold and burgundy themed winter wedding. I love the flowers and Nicola’s gorgeous Pronovias gown.
This is perfect timing after the glorious sunshine 0ver the weekend, a stunning wedding Spanish wedding to see you through this somewhat grey Monday. Maria wore a gorgeous Temperley gown whilst they enjoyed a rustic and relaxed celebration in the Mallorcan countryside.
I get asked all the time if I ever get bored of weddings “surely they’re all the same” “doesn’t it get repetitive?!”. I always answer the same incredulous “absolutely not!”. And when I get sent weddings as gorgeous as today’s it is a constant reminder that all weddings are unique and beautiful, all couples are worthy and deserve love and everyone loves dancing with their loved ones till the early hours (venue permitting ha).
