For me, this wedding is not only about the gorgeous images of Hannah and Shimpei but the a gentle nod towards the groom’s Japanese heritage. A wedding is all about the coming together of two families and quite often two cultures, it is always so lovely to see that acknowledged. Throw in some gorgeous colourful florals, 1000 paper cranes and a very happy looking family, and you have a perfect wedding.
Morning. I hope that this gorgeous country wedding can help ease you in to the working week. Whilst Matt and Liv obviously look beautiful, it’s the photos of Liv’s dad that really make this wonderful for me. It really is such a special moment when you reach the end of the aisle and as your father releases your left hand, your right one is firmly clenched by the sweaty palm of your waiting fiance.
I am not a girly girl. Nor have I dreamt about my wedding from 5 years old. But. But I wish I could do it all again, wish that I could remember every last detail, film it from my eyes and from everyone else’s and watch it over and over. Everyone says it goes so fast. Everyone says to take moments throughout the day. So true! When Sophie Duckworth sent me these questions, it made me remember so thanks Soph!
Morning! So sorry there was no real wedding up yesterday. I had/have a tummy bug from Thursday and I usually write up mon-weds blog posts on Thurs-Fri (oh hello insider info) I am hopefully back on track now with today’s beauty by Sophie Duckworth. Zoe looks glorious in her gown, and her daughters are just so cute. It looks like SUCH a fun wedding, Zoe and Daron you should be very proud, your girls are gorgeous and your wedding day looked amazing. Congratulations!Read More
It is always such an honour to be sent a wedding submission, I don’t think I will ever tire of opening the “Real Wedding” emails to see what beauty hides within. What surpasses this feeling is when a bride emails herself, there is no greater feeling. Lydia had been reading So You’re Getting Married for “many pre wed hours, planning every details of my day, gaining most inspiration from ‘real weddings’ so it was the natural choice, and now she hopefully I can now inspire other brides to be”. Well my little heart sang, then I saw how gorgeous she looked and couldn’t wait to get all her information. It also turned out that Lydia won a SYGM competition for her wedding make up by my old school friend Laura Dunne. It then turned out that her photographer was wonderful advertiser Sophie Duckworth, a true SYGM wedding. Did I mention she also managed to wing a free ferrari?
I don’t think I will ever tire of looking at weddings. Especially when they are this beautiful. A gorgeous summer wedding (though I don’t think I would have looked as radiant as Amber in 33C heat!) full of family, flowers and smiles. There are so many personal touches which I think are very important in making your day true to you, and not just copied from a magazine, or heaven forbid, Pinterest. Also LOVING Amber’s choice of shoe, I adore mint green.

My oh my. I love this wedding. More weddings should take place in pubs. I could pick out all the details I love about this wedding but Sophie’s photos do better justice. May we just note how bloody gorgeous Sophie looks in her gown and Stu looks exceptionally dapper in an ensemble he chose himself. Oh and if you need a florist, Bex is definitely your lady. Oh! and I have only every heard amazing things about The Wedding Smashers. Ok, finished now.

Well isn’t this a beautiful way to kick off the week? When Amy of Amaranthyne Weddings and Events submitted this beautiful shoot to me I fell in love with the old tree used in the photos. It is always so wonderful to see good old mother nature utilised in weddings (and shoots). I also am coveting buttons. I wish my dress had had more buttons, it was something that my wedding scrapbook was full of but when I came to try dresses on I don’t think they looked right on my bottom, or maybe I just couldn’t pull them off like the beautiful Becky!
