Minimoon Ideas from Carbis Bay Hotel | UK WEDDING BLOG

Whilst we were in Cornwall a couple of weeks back, we got to have an exclusive look at the soon to be finished new lodges at the Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate. We’ve been looking forward to seeing these as Carbis Bay is one of Cornwall’s most sparkly little bays and it looks like they’ll be something special indeed. As part of our stay at the Gannet Inn {here} we also got to use their spa for the afternoon which felt like we could have been abroad with the view out to the sun trap of a pool and views to the beach below. It’s a really exciting time for the hotel as these lodges are unlike anything else available in the UK. Imagine sitting by your own plunge pool overlooking that beach!

The multi-million pound beach regeneration project will see the launch of eight luxury Beach Lodges and Suites this summer. Almost a decade in the making, and with accommodation scheduled for completion in July, it is set to be the most exclusive beachside offering in the UK, with infinity views of St Ives Bay, and prime position on the award-winning Carbis Bay beach. The two and three storey Beach Lodges will have either a rooftop garden or beach gardens. The development is to include a
striking 15,000 square foot multi-use event space, and dining and retail facilities which will feel more like the Med than Blighty.

Each Beach Lodge will offer three or four en-suite bedrooms, a large open-plan living space and dining room, kitchenette and a private garden, allowing guests to maximise the opportunity to enjoy the Bay’s outstanding views. Guests also have Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate’s facilities at their fingertips, including its Sunseeker motor yacht, fine-dining restaurant The Sands and the award-winning C Bay Spa which offers a range of natural treatments inspired by the hotel’s coastal location.

The award-winning C Bay Spa has a couple’s treatment room on stilts above the sands as well as an outdoor sauna pod, heated outdoor swimming pool and hydrotherapy pool. {we spent an afternoon here having a Head in the Clouds couples treatment and it was insanely relaxing and the best spa treatment I’ve had in England for a longgg time. If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth booking a spa day and getting to use the pools overlooking the sea}.

These lodges are pricey from £1200 a night but definitely somewhere for a special occasion unlike anywhere else in the UK and they’re proving popular already with bookings.

I had a message from somebody on Instagram asking my thoughts on the development & if it will affect the rest of the natural beauty of the bay. But I think it’s plenty big enough for both the development and the rest of the beach. It’s also been very sustainably developed and designed to fit in with the existing landscape, so the lodges have living roofs etc so as not to disrupt the sea views.
