From the industrial luxe editorial of yesterday to today’s countryside wedding. We blog it all on SYGM! I can’t believe how close to Christmas we are now, I still haven’t finished my Christmas shopping and I have no idea where I am actually spending Christmas but what I do know is that there will be lots of engagements and I am exceptionally excited for it!

Amy Elizabeth- Bride and Bridesmaids Makeup

These two ladies are super talented and were fantastically calm on the morning of the wedding. I couldn’t recommend them more and am so grateful for doing such beautiful hair and makeup.

We really wanted to use wild flowers loosely tied as though you had scooped them up from a meadow with a burst of springtime colour. We chose JW Blooms because they were local to St Audries and actually grow the flowers themselves in their lovely flower field in Somerset. Jan and Amanda knew immediately what we wanted and gave us the perfect flowers for our spring countryside wedding, I couldn’t thank them more for making our day so beautiful.

St Audries is such a stunning venue it didn’t require too much décor however we tried to keep the theme of the wedding as natural as possible with bursts of springtime colours with the flowers and flowy dresses of the bridesmaids.

My dress was called ‘Amalie’ was made by an English designer Amanda Wyatt

Bride’s hair accessories: My hair vine was from Etsy

Dresses – Monsoon Shoes – Kurt Geiger

Philip Quinnell – Captured our day perfectly. The photographs that he took were so natural and relaxed and he managed to snap all of the emotion of the day including all of the smiles, laughs and tears. He was amazing to work with and made us both feel at so at ease in front of the camera and we are lucky to have so many incredible shots from our day to look back on.

There are too many to choose! Our wedding was honestly the most incredible and FUN day ever! But really my most favourite moment was standing at the top of the aisle with my best friend and now lovely husband knowing that we were surrounded my all of our loved ones. (moosh)

The food was made by the chef at St Audries and was delicious, we had canapes and a three course meal for all of our guests and then a fajita buffet later on. They have a brilliant bar at St Audries and all of the staff were so helpful and made our day run so smoothly.

Again an incredible talent Mhairi Stella https://www.mhairi-stella.com/ Designed all our our wedding stationery from the invitations through to our order of service that were in the shape of fortune-tellers. She hand illustrated our designs using the wildflower and springtime vibes that we love and her style is  just gorgeous. If you love natural, botanical, illustration we would highly recommend her.

Our cake was made by Adams Sister Dannielle Anderton. She hand made the sugar wildflowers that wrapped around three tiers of yummy chocolate, lemon and ginger cake. The icing was buttercream and had a touch of gold leaf for a bit of glam. Im very lucky to have a wonderful sister in law that can make the most stunning cakes.

Adam is very musical so we wanted to have a live band at our wedding. We really love Cuban salsa music as it has the best party vibes so chose the Cubanaires 7 piece band to play at the wedding. We also had a brilliant photobooth from https://www.boxphotobooths.co.uk/ We used the Rustic Garden Booth which was so much fun and the guests loved it!

I didn’t do wedding favours but we had a small number of children at the wedding so I made them some activity boxes to keep them entertained at the table. These included stickers, toys, sweets, bubbles and a disposable camera with a treasure hunt that I put together for them where they had to take a picture of different things at the wedding.

Don’t stress about the small things, if there is something that can’t be done or you simply run out of time don’t worry as your guests wouldn’t have known that it was going to be there in the first place. And Enjoy every moment!
