Gooood morning all! Sophie and Peter flew over from Australia to Warwickshire to have their wedding with their families in England, the day was calm and relaxed with a little rustic, vintage vibe. Sophie opted for dried flowers, a beautiful silk and lace gown and Peter looked smart in his three piece suit.

The dress was from Karen Willis Holmes and the shoes were by Nine West in Sydney

Nicola Beverly a Makeup artist / Friend from Sydney

MJ Bale he had a three piece navy suit tailored.  A slim fit off white shirt keeping in theme with the vintage look / plus a brown tie and pockets square also from MJ Bale.

Groomsmen’s outfits/accessories: All had slim fit off white shirts keeping in theme with the vintage look plus navy and brown bow ties and blue bracers

A designer in Australia helped me design my wedding stationery and then my cousin kindly printed everything out for me.

Bridesmaids – Dresses were from Coast / they all had dried baby’s breath (gypsophilia) bouquets with matching cream pearl earrings and bracelets.  The flower girls got their dresses from Monsoon/Accessoriz

Was my sister singing me down the aisle and seeing my handsome husband to be looking back at me.

It was a vintage theme with creams / blues / browns as the main colours.  My Dad made a vintage wishing well for people to post cards into. And an old antique door with old keys to put the table plan on.

Shushtoke Farm Barns

My mum handmade milk / white and dark chocolate rocky road.

Pete’s mum made us a traditional fruit cake with dried fruits on top, we also had a cheese wedding stack for the evening that we cut and then had with truffle honey and hot pork baps in the evening.

We had pumpkin soup to start, with slow cooked sirloin beef on hot coals with green beans and dauphinoise potatoes.  Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream for dessert.

Cheese wedding cake with figs and slow cooked pork / stuffing and crackling rolls for the evening.

Live lounge band / my sister also sang me down the aisle to Ella I’m yours and then my friend compiled a DJ mix from all of our favourite clubbing tracks.

Lists lots of them / I made a visual mood board where both my mum and I could see what photo’s we were adding to keep on track with theme etc or what we were both buying.  With me being in Australia and Mum being in the uk this was a life saver.

Where did you find your inspiration?

My inspiration was on pinterest and my mum is amazing at this kind of thing.  She is very artistic and helped with making everything come together.  I couldn’t have planned a wedding of 160 people from the other side of the world without her.

Other peoples’ wedding photo’s are great for inspiration also.
