Absolute pretty pastel perfection on the blog this morning from The Boutique. They created this gorgeous shoot to show you not only how gorgeous you can look getting ready, but that it doesn’t have to break the bank dressing your best girls.

You only get one day in your life to be a bride  so we fully believe in embracing this to it’s fullest potential!  Did we go to Starbucks and get them to right “bride” on the coffee cup? Yes, of course we did!  It’s your wedding day – you should shout it from the roof tops!  We saw So You’re Getting Married’s bride to be Claire post the other day YOMO (You’re Only Getting Married Once) well we firmly agree Claire. You are and everything should be the best that it can be!

That said budgets spiral and we all have to draw the line somewhere.  We think we’re pretty budget savvy here at The Boutique so we splurge and save where we think it’s right to so!  We did exactly that with this inspirational shoot –  Blushing Bridesmaids.  We hope you’ll love this shoot as much as we do and if you want to recreate it – it won’t break the bank!

After months of planning the final countdown to your wedding is the precious few hours spent getting ready with the all important ladies in your life.  The morning of your wedding is such a magical time with the butterflies of anticipation and excitement building.  Of course your photographer will be hovering around too capturing all these moments and while we totally believe in being natural and completely yourself is there really anything wrong with having BRIDE written on your back – you know, in case anyone forgets?

We shot Blushing Bridesmaids at the stunning wedding venue Bloomsbury House on a freaky hot April day.  The ah-mazing air con kept our sanity while the sunlight streamed in through the huge windows we couldn’t have asked for a better setting.  Our theme for the shoot was peach and sage – which made a beautiful combination and suited our diverse bridal party beautifully.  We’ve seen a real increase in various shades of green in the colour pallets of our brides this year we love this soft sage shade but we wanted to make it bright and punchy for a summer wedding so decided to work the peach into it too. We love a mix and match bridal party and these bridesmaids dresses by Matchimony @ The Boutique were just perfect they come in an array of colours and styles but all have similar qualities meaning you can mix and match them really easily. We also have the dressing gowns at The Boutique which at £25 are a steal and perfect for those stunning getting ready shots.  We just had to get our photographer Natasha Hurley to grab a shot of Chelsea in her rollers and dressing gown sipping a cup of tea from Mrs Jones Tea vintage china. I think it’s one of our favourites from the whole shoot!

We had ivory umbrellas on standby from Brolly Bucket who hire out wedding umbrellas (pure genius!) it was April after all so we wouldn’t have been surprised by some showers however as the temperatures rose actually the umbrellas came particularly helpful when shielding our bride and bridesmaids from the sun after all sun burn doesn’t look great in a wedding dress.

Our flower girl who stole the show was one half of The Boutique – Vicky of Victoria Millésime – little girl Clara.  We couldn’t get her out of her of princess dress, she loved twirling in the full skirt and being one of the big girls with her matching sash.
