A HOME-SPUN PHOTOBOOTH

By Sarah

With just over a week to go, it is easy to feel like you’re weaving a very complicated french plait. But actually, we are feeling pretty organised! Confetti and cones – check. Favours – check. Getaway car decs – check. So I thought I’d share with you how I’m putting together a little photo booth for the reception.

We’d been quite seduced by the idea of making a photo-booth after seeing the one that Meg had made for her 21st birthday party. As I already had an Instax Mini Polaroid Camera we decided to make our own for the 6th of August!

Shottle Hall recommended that the corner of the library would be perfect in terms of both lighting and backdrop. They’re going to set up two tables in that area:

The prop table will consist of a load of silly stuff I bought from Hobbycraft. The highlights are these floral-inspired props-on-sticks (because I’m obsessed with flowers) and also this blow-up flamingo (because why the hell not?)

The other table will be for writing messages and sticking the funny Polaroids in our guest-book plus we’ll supply a selection of nice pens and a handy glue stick.

There’s no wedding on at Shottle the day before ours so we’re going down in the afternoon to set-up the photobooth, the wedding breakfast tables and also our makeshift wedding card post-box (appropriately Steve’s guitar-case with this bunting) just the way we want it.

So excited right now!
