Breakfast With Jane Iredale & New Launches |UK Wedding Blog

There are only two sure fire ways to get me in to central London for 8.30am ~ the promise of food and new makeup. Last week’s Jane Iredale Press Breakfast was a chance to preview some A/W product newness, as well as meet the woman herself, and listen to her thoughts on the rise in popularity of mineral makeup, and what was new for JI for the rest of the year. I rose bright and early to travel to Metropolitan by COMO London, a plush hotel just off Park Lane where I joined other bloggers and press for breakfast.

Over yummy pastries, rye toast and avocado, and fruit juice, we heard about upcoming Autumn/Winter newness {more about this below}, and then we got the rare opportunity to hear from the woman behind the brand –  Jane Iredale herself. She talked to us about how she created the brand, and how she worked to develop products which were ethical, healthy to the skin and body, as well as being high performance. The range began 25 years ago, and Jane has seen the beauty industry change a lot since then, but told us that she believes theres more of an awareness than ever now amongst buyers looking for products which tick boxes such as organic, vegan, and ethical – all of which can be tricky to successfully achieve without compromise on product quality.

Selfies with Jane!

After a Q&A session with Jane, we had a look at the newness coming for Autumn, which was included in our goody bags, meaning I’ve had a chance to have a play over the last week or so. Here are the products that I’ve tried and loved since the launch.

Brow Pencils £17  available in Dark Brunette, Brunette and Blonde

My favourite type of brow pencil for both natural and strong brows is a firm retractable pencil, and these are perfect for building soft colour with the added bonus of being waterproof. Complete with spoolie on the end so you can shape before you begin or after to give a more natural finish, and the three colours are super neutral .

Smooth Affair For Eyes £22

You all know I live for eye primers – they solve a multitude of problems, from creasing eyeshadow, to smudging mascara, to helping with great blending, to colour correcting discolouration on the eye lids. These come in 6 colours, have enough slip that they’ll sweep easily on to your eyes and will grab your shadow to improve eyeshadow performance. You can wear these alone or under makeup and choose from 6 shades including  Nude, or the very pretty gold, or you can colour correct with Lemon.

Smoothies for Eyes, Pure Moist Lipstick in Cindy

Lemongrass Hydration Spray £23

Hydration sprays are perfect for helping to set makeup, or to help revive it throughout the day if you start to feel dehydrated or your makeup looks flat throughout the day. Also helps to combat oiliness and enlarged pores. This is definitely coming on holiday with me – it smells amazing, and is perfect to help skin in humidity (or air con and heating, if you aren’t heading abroad!).

PureMoist Lipstick in shade Cindy {launching 1st Oct}

Classic Red to suit all skin tones with a comfortable moisturising finish, plus it smells like berries! Love.

Thanks to Jane for inviting me to this event! Will you be trying any of these products?
