So let’s begin a Sunday with a July faves round up – some old, some new, but all awesome products in their own right. Incidentally normal Friday beauty post service will be resumed this week- my laptop died so I’m currently struggling to decide what to replace it with and it’s just been a nightmare in the interim (do you know what laptop I should buy by the way?! If you do can you tell me?!)
Jo Malone Peony & Moss Candle
I’d self imposed a ban on candles for a while as they are taking over every inch of my house, however when Mr J bought me this new ltd. ed Jo Malone beauty for my birthday I wondered how I’d lived without it (and considered buying a second!) A combination of “the dainty and the dirty” (love that), this is earthy and sweet, plus the aesthetic is gorgeous, as you’d expect. Plus a percentage of the proceeds go to charity – win win. £44 – get it now here before it goes.
Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil
If you are a brow pencil fan, you can’t do much better than the new Goof Proof pencil from Benefit, part of their relaunced brow collection. It’s not cheap at £18.50 (I actually got this free with last month’s Elle, of which I bought several to stock up!) and on the down side it doesn’t last super long as it’s pretty soft, however it is 100% budge proof as well as waterproof and a dream to apply. It glides on with plenty of pigment, has a triangular point which moves easily with the shape of the brow, and is retractable so no need to sharpen. You know how picky I am about brow products, and this is a winner in my books. Available in 6 colours here.
NEW Clarins Extra Firming Mask
I’d only been thinking that I was missing a mask in my current skincare routine when this new offering from Clarins arrived in my mail box. Promising to “smooth stress lines and revive radiance in a record 10 minutes”, this is a joy to apply, with a cooling cream gel texture and an amazing spa-worthy smell. Packed with hydrating Hylauronic Acid, the Clarins Firming Complex and Jojoba and Mimosa to comfort skin, this is the perfect treat for stressed and tired skin, with the instructions also teaching you how apply using a pressure point method. Launching Sept 2016, £45
Environ RAD Antioxidant SPF15
Seeing me through summer’s sunny days is hero SPF RAD Antioxidant SP15 from Environ. I’m still obsessed with my Environ skincare, and for summer I’ve added in this – it’s packed with antioxidants to soothe and hydrate skin alongside it’s sunscreen, this is water resistant and fragrance free, so perfect for sensitive skins. We all know sun exposure is the most aging element skin encounters, so I always choose high grade salon strength products for my sun protection – plus being fair I’m a burner, so a little of this under foundation gives me enhanced sun care for my face, and for the body it sinks in within seconds with no greasy residue. Perfect for honeymoon too! £19.95, available here.
Angel Schlesser Pour Elle
This is a beautiful Floral/Spicy perfume with a soft powdery dry down – with some of my favourite notes including Peony, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Bergamot, and Patchouli. A perfect summer/autumn transition fragrance, this works for both day and evening and as it’s both dry, sweet and spicy, is distinctive without being overwhelming. I’ve had loads of compliments whilst wearing this this month! Pretty perfect for bridal too, with a very Instagrammable bottle. You’ll like this if you like Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom. From £52 for 30ml exclusively at Harvey Nichols.
I’m posting my daily favourites on snapchat too ~ you can follow me at @lovemoimakeup.
