Back from Ibiza | uk wedding blog

Hi guys. No update from me last week as I was in Ibiza with work. I got back to the UK on Monday afternoon after a 5 day trip, and though it probably sounds like it was one big party, we were actually working very hard out there (honest!). I did manage to pick up a tan which was nice but most of all, the trip got me hugely excited for our mini moon in September.

I discovered a few new places I had never been before, including Cala Salada beach and the little restaurant in the corner (the mussels and chips were to DIE for, though I am biased as it’s my favourite ever meal), a restaurant called Mumak on Playa D’en Bossa beach and I went to Ocean Beach for the first time ever. We had to leave just as the party was starting (7pm-ish) so I’ll definitely be back in September to see the night through.

I had booked the amazing Clare in to top up my colour as soon as I was back from Ibiza (please excuse the bare face in the picture, I had just got off a flight!). The sun makes my hair grow super quick but also makes it very yellow and brassy so I knew I’d need a touch up of the roots and all-over tone, especially since we’re off to our friends wedding this Saturday and our nieces christening on Sunday. It’s getting long now which I’m excited about, so I should be able to try a few things when my hair trial comes around.

Wedding planning wise I’ve ordered some Unicorn Poop confetti from Etsy but I think it might be stuck at the post office, and have decided on my table plan presentation. I had originally planned to use an Italian map we bought when Mike and I were in Tuscany a couple of years ago in an Ikea frame, with hanging tags for the tables, but then I came across a tall multi-frame photo thing so am going with that instead. I can’t explain what it will look like really but I’ll be sure to take a picture when I make a start. We’re also renovating our house at the minute so I’m a little all over the place when it comes to wedding planning. It’s had to take a back seat for the time being whilst we get the upstairs of our house plastered and decorated. We’re hoping to move house this year but might (should probably…) wait until after the wedding until we begin the process. Meanwhile we have to finish off the renovations! I’m looking forward to them being done so I can get back to planning. I’m hoping not too many wedding bits and pieces have gone missing whilst we’ve been moving the house around to accommodate all of the builders and plasterers…

’til next time…Holly x
