Oxford is an amazing place to get married. It’s atmospheric, beautiful and very English. The aim of the shoot was to create some inspiring, summery English, with Oxford as the bright and creamy backdrop. We wanted to incorporate some of the Oxford streets and architecture-Trinity Gate, Corpus Christi College and some of the small streets feature in the set.
The colour palette was very important. We wanted something warm, which would complement the creamy yellows and greys we would be shooting against a lot. I instructed the florist Suzanne to create two different bouquets-a bright, warm bouquet with complimentary oranges and yellows and some contrasting reds to ‘pop’. The second bouquet was a little darker in colour and inspired by Pantone’s colour of the year marsala. We wanted this one to have a wilder feel.
Heart Aflutter supplied two gorgeous dresses for the day-one with feminine lace, the other sleek and minimalist with cut-out detail. Much of the shoot took place in the beautiful college of Corpus Christi, with its Mediaeval courtyard, tall hollyhocks and a little more in the college gardens, both in the full bloom of summer.
We then took Charli and Paul around the city and shot in a few locations. Oxford Punting kindly allowed us to let the couple sit in one of their boats for a couple of shots.
Thank you so much for sharing this beauty with us, full supplier credit listed below:
