JN Flowers (Jill Naughton)
Personalised ‘Loveheart’ sweets provided by the bride’s best friend as well as a fully stocked sweet cart with our favourite sweets from childhood through to today.
Styal Lodge, Styal, Cheshire
‘Maria’ made by Brides by Harvee, bought at Romancia Wedding Shop, Billinge.
The décor done by Special Days Wedding Venue Dressing. No theme per se but we were looking to achieve a natural, vintage and floral look to each part of the wedding.
Mirrored seating plan was made by the Bride.
Personalised ‘Mr and Mrs’ ring boxes and name card holders were handmade by Wedding Creations UK. We found Lauradana (owner) on Etsy and she was absolutely brilliant, handmaking and personalising each holder with ‘L&L 15/05/15’. All our families still have them as tiny keepsakes from the day.
Bride – I have so many special memories from the day, but the moments I shared with my parents and sisters (bridesmaids) before walking down the aisle were really important to me. Being a very close family it was good to be surrounded by the four people who have supported me most before I married the man I love. Then of course, seeing Lee looking so smart in his suit standing at the front of the room as I walked towards him was such a beautiful moment- ‘Til There Was You’ by The Beatles was being played on the harp which was one of my Grandma’s favourites, and in that moment everything was just perfect.
Groom – Obviously seeing Lucy in her dress as she came down the aisle was an amazing moment. So beautiful. But I’d choose the first dance. We both love a dance and it was a special moment at the end of a day full of special moments. To be able to swing around the dance floor to Ray Charles with all our friends and family looking on was just a lovely moment to seal a great day.
Tiered naked wedding cake made by Pink Pepper Catering. Neither of us like icing so it was the PERFECT choice.
Canapes, three-course wedding breakfast and midnight munchies made by Pink Pepper Catering. When choosing our main meal, we wanted to give our guest something different but something we knew everyone would love…the answer PIES. We worked with the caterer to choose a selection of homemade pies from chicken to steak to fish and served them all with fresh vegetables. Simple but hearty food that everyone loved.

Riviera Maya, Mexico. Two weeks of sun, sea, rest and relaxation. Perfect.
Be organized. We both have elements of organization and planning as part of our jobs so Excel documents played a strong role in our big day. We used them to track budgets, contacts, guest lists and more. Also, online tools such as Pinterest as an online scrapbook of ideas, little thoughts and possible things to add to our big day.
For a bride, you may have an idea of what dress you want to wear but its important to go shopping with an open mind and with people who will be honest with you as you look at all the different options available.
For a groom, you need to get stuck into the wedding planning. Seems an old joke for the “bride to do it all” but I really enjoyed being part of every meeting and decision.
