Last week I was excited to attend the White Gallery {an international industry event for designers showcasing newest collections to the press and buyers set in Battersea Park} and London Bridal Fashion Week {a new international show in it’s first yet set in the historic Billingsgate Market}. It was a lot of fun, especially the catwalk shows. You may have seen some of the photos on Phoebe’s Instagram, we were in love. And we have decided that we should all get married every year just so we can wear all of these beautiful dresses. Some seriously incredible new designers out there too. If you’re on the hunt for a wedding gown or shoes then have a gander through this before you look any further.

Here’s a look at some of our favourite dresses, designers and current trends for 2016 spotted at both The White Gallery and London Bridal Fashion Week

{Designer}: Wendy Makin

A firm new favourite, Wendy is one of Australia’s top bridal designers and after thirty years of designing for brides, her gowns have become known for their true quality. I especially love the sparkly but elegant bead work and that floral dress.

{Trend}: Detachable skirts

Also by Wendy Makin and a new trend this year is for detachable skirts to change the feel of your dress from day to evening. Love the way that this can be whipped off to create what looks like a whole new dress.

{Designer}: Belle and Bunty

Belle and Bunty are firm favourites of ours {the label is created by the lovely, and incredibly stylish Alice and Hannah who are based in London} but even more so now they’ve launched their new collection called A Piece of my Heart with on trend separates to mix and match along with some classic old school Hollywood glamour gowns.

{Designer}: Demetrios

Ok, so admittedly I probably wouldn’t have considered a Demetrios Bridal gown for my wedding day {just a tiny bit too runway}, they are show stoppingly gorgeous and definitely swoon worthy. I think we should see more fishtail gowns.

{Trend}: Mix and Match separates. {Designer}: Charlie Brear

Love the idea of creating your own dress by picking and mixing your top and bottoms. Sequin skirts, lace bodices, full tulle, flowing sleeves. Perfect for a modern bride. All from British designer Charlie Brear.

{Designer}: Watters

Ah Watters, such a huge range of dresses and not one that I wouldn’t want to wear. Some seriously stunning gowns at a real range of price points. Also amazing mother of the bride and bridesmaids outfits too. I had a private viewing of one of the new collections, the Wtoo range. Just the perfect mix of sparkle, lace and swishy tuille skirts.

{Designer}: Rita Westenius

An award winning British designer with all dresses made in England, Ritva’s gowns are all iconic. Bows, sparkly pearlescent shells and dramatic veils, the collection has it all.

{Designer}: Ian Stuart

Always incredible and guaranteed to be show stopping, we love love love Ian Stuart’s new collection for 2016. His philosophy is to make women look, and more importantly, feel fabulous. I want the white floral sequin dress.

{Designer}: Charlotte Mills

I saved the best until last, and could have cried when I saw her collection of the cutest bridal shoes {why didn’t I know about them for my wedding last year with my heart theme?!!}, is Charlotte Mills. They can count as your something old, something new and something blue. Each pair of shoes has a sixpence set into them as well as some blue details and crucially they look gorgeous and are guaranteed to be comfortable. There’s a mix of flats and heels. Hands down the best discovery of the weekend.
