A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a fun crafty morning at Paperchase’s HQ {three floors of heaven on the Tottenham Court Road that you must visit} to look at the new wedding collection and take part in a class on making paper flowers. I’ve been a long standing fan of Paperchase and their huge range of pretty yet affordable stationery. This season is rather special and has everything you need to make your wedding beautiful. From decorative bunting to invites, thank-you cards to little glass jars, gift wrap for your bridal party, guest books and place names, Paperchase have it nailed.
As well as viewing the new collection, we were treated to a DIY class from A Crafty Alternative in the Create part of Paperchase on their top floor.

If you live in London I’d highly recommend a craft class if you’re looking to do something creative, it would make for a fun hen party with a group of girls and could double up as making some of your wedding decorations! These paper flowers would look gorgeous for your wedding, look at these!

There’s a tutorial online here {found via Pinterest} that will explain how to make them a million times better than I ever could. But in essence you need floral wire, a hot glue gun and strong crepe paper that you cut out using templates found online and then stretch into flower petals and then curl and glue onto your stem. It’s surprisingly therapeutic and a pretty way to while away a couple of hours. Once you’ve built up your flower by layering and glueing your curled petals, you green up your wire and add leaves. It was easier than it looks and sounds and Tia was great for helping us all make beautiful creations.

My flower sits proudly on my desk in my loft room now it’s complete but if you made a few you could create a bouquet or floral centrepieces or hang them from wire for a floral curtain. Cue Pinterest for more ideas than you could ever imagine.

Every crafter needs fuel! These yummy cupcakes went down well with us all.

Ok, so pretty paper flowers aside, here are some of my favourite bits from Paperchase’s new collection this season –

Heart trinket boxes for favours or part of a present for your bridesmaids.

Mini glass jars and classy name places for beautiful table settings.

Paperchase will always my first port of call for cards of any occasion. Weddings in particular.

Gorgeous wrapping paper as ever and cute boxes for keepsakes.

Heart print sweetie bags for a candy buffet. And pom-poms and honeycomb balls for decorations.

A classic guest book for your big day.

Fun props for photo booths.

Love this summery floral stationery collection with the rustic brown paper. How cute are the little flags for sticking into cakes?!

Cake bunting is always a winner in my book and a bargain at £6. And check out this chalk board cake topper.

All the pretty – wrapping paper, cards, signs, the little heart boxes and the garland in the background.

Wedding and reception signs.

Pretty gift bags and hessian draw string bags for favours or presents.
These little pegs would be perfect for hanging up polaroid photos or part of your table plan.

Set of 10 glass jars for £8.

And lastly, these cute heart toppers. Love the gold on them.
Which are your favourites? You can view, and shop, the whole collection here.
Thanks to Paperchase and A Crafty Alternative for a morning full of pretty.
