Morning! So much love for today’s inspiration shoot, taking in all of the beauty spring has to offer the team have put together an absolutely stunning set of images. With the weather being as glorious as it has been lately, I can very much imagine packing up for the afternoon, grabbing a blanket, some food and sitting whiling away the hours. These ladies have taken it up a level because the gorgeous model got to do exactly that, but in a beautiful bridal gown. Jealous? Not at all.
The 17th March brought a day of sunny spells set between some rather dreary looking grey clouds, which surprisingly set the perfect atmosphere our Spring picnic shoot. I mean, I don’t think you can actually call it a picnic in England without the fear of impending downpours(!).
A collection of the most extraordinary suppliers in Hampshire were brought together (in this rather mix bag of weather conditions) by My Wedding Fair Hampshire with the aim to inspire Hampshire brides with local suppliers and ideas. Our suppliers all gathered at our chosen location of Hill Place in Hampshire which created the perfect backdrop for the day. With fresh Spring blooms in abundance and its classic English beauty the venue and its grounds provided a wonderful whimsical setting ready to inspire our wonderful Hampshire suppliers.

The inspiration – This shoot was inspired by the natural beauty of this new season, and the overwhelming joyous feelings of the beginning of warmer sunnier days. This shoot originally started as a Spring make up look book, but as fresh Spring buds started popping up around us we decided to really celebrate the season and collaborate with some of Hampshire’s top suppliers to create a fresh, relaxed and overall beautiful look.
Nicky Rattray (Vanilla Blush Makeup) creates on trend make up & hair ideas, with blush pink lips and a soft rolled up-do incorporating fresh Spring blooms. She creates a polished yet natural fresh look, set perfectly against the chiffon strap detail of the gown. This is all brought together with incredible floral design by Louise Avery. The contrast of potted plants, cut glass vases housing bunches of Spring blooms, and loose collections scattered over mismatch props come together to create an eclectic floral delight.
We hope to inspire brides with “easy to create” styling tips including potted plants, mismatch props and an underlying picnic theme. The picnic theme was a popular choice with our brides last year, which has followed onto this year in popularity. We aim to show how you can touch upon this theme from a fresh angle with subtle elegant styling touches. A central set up, with fresh crisp white linens, a mix of Spring blooms, finished off with “mini” versions of the popular naked cake and classic English scones complete the dreamy scene.
Hayley Savage (Photographer) perfectly captures this dreamy Spring afternoon with light refreshing images, giving us all a wonderful feeling of hope for the gorgeous Spring days to come.
Before we sign off we must mention the star of the show, Sprout the gorgeous Austin 1955 Austin A30, who charmed us all throughout the day!
Please enjoy….
