Good morning!! I hope you had a lovely and relaxing weekend? Mine was fun, had a film night on Friday. I was out on Saturday (sorry if you follow me on snapchat). On Sunday I nursed a hangover, ate a burrito (plus 2 bags of mini eggs *cough* and a Chinese *cough* ) and started watching Fortitude. So far soooo good.
Today’s inspiration comes courtesy of an absolute dream team. Bursting full of fresh spring time beauty, from the Claire Pettibone dress, down to the incredible cheese selection from Kalm Kitchen. This really is a must see! Can you even pick a favourite part? Oh did I mention the butterflies…?
All words from Lyn at Lily Marie Wedding and Events –
After attending the Millbridge Court preview I came away inspired by the simplicity of the décor and its chic European feel…less is most definitely more!
Hannah (from Hannah Berry Flowers) and I instantly started to work on a style for the shoot that would enhance the venues existing features, but create a soft, romantic feel for a spring wedding with a European angle.
After the venue came the dress, and for once that was an easy choice; Exquisite Brides in Winchester had the perfect Claire Pettibone Papillion dress which suited our vision, her use of European laces fitted perfectly; romantic with an enchanted bohemian spirit. The subtle gentle use of colour became our spring pallete.
The rest effortlessly fell into place….From the stationary, right through to the detailed flowers on the cake.
The Stationery supplied by Hip Hip Hooray was perfectly spring like and set the tone, the hair and make-up soft, relaxed and romantic.
The flowers were enchanting with little pieces of the Mediterranean such as the olive branches, and the colours picked up little details from the dress with subtle hints of blue
The Bridesmaid dresses (also supplied by Exquisite Brides) by Twobirds matched our colour palette and were finished off with beautiful shoes from Emmy London
Groom and best man were colour co-ordinated in suits from Room Ten in Farnham
Kalm kitchen caterers created the mouth watering food station, a 360 degree delight; Patisserie one side and Fromargery the other, such a relaxed European way to dine.
Jewellery created by Pretty Old Vintage; Claire takes old vintage finds and recreates them into stunning bracelets, necklaces and hair pieces.
The cake from Debs makes cakes, simple elegant and romantic (the flowers in the brides hair were also made by the cake maker, so delicate and real, but lasted all day without wilting!
The shoot was perfectly captured by local photographer Ginny Marsh.
Having grown up near Frensham it was great to be organising a shoot that was worked on by so many local talented suppliers……it was an absolute pleasure to pull it all together.
