Morning! Did you have a good bank holiday? It was rather wet and grey up here, but we had an enjoyable time nonetheless. Did you see this wedding on the blog yesterday? I have kind of fallen in love with blue suits lately, and this handsome groom’s is no exception. And don’t worry, here is a recipe for winter mojitos.
Leez Priory. Chelmsford. 28/2/14. Rained all day lol
Cherubs. Chelmsford. White roses, tulips, lillies.
Bridesmaids: dresses by Lipsy and Matthew Williamson hair accessories. Shoes their own and Flower girls: Shoes and dressed and hair pieces by accessorize.
Kari Bellamy. One word- amazballs! Worth every penny!
Winter Mojitos/ cocktails and champagne. Amazing buffet in the evening of anti-pastie and cheeses. Dinner- pate, chicken and the most heavenly sticky toffee pudding!
We didn’t have a budget but managed to do the whole wedding on £10k.
We went for a very white and minimal theme. Wanted a very clean and uncluttered look. Bird houses and the outdoors crept into the wedding theme in form of favour boxes, the card box and table plan.
The table names were scrabble tiles and racks. (Safe to say the spelling of names had changed quite a bit by the end of the meal lol) My husband made our table planner. He Used a wooden frame that we painted white. Lots of brown string and artificial flowers from hobby craft. Our personalised Favour boxes were from ebay. That we filled with straw and luxury chocolate eggs.
Fancy Nancy. Leigh on sea.
If we had to pick one it would probably be the first dance. We were married, speeches went perfectly and all our favourite people were all in one place. It was the first time we that we had fully relaxed, enjoyed each other and finally, that we were now Mr and Mrs…. And ready to party the night away!
If you are planning a quick wedding you can save so much money. We managed to get a lot of aspects of the wedding reduced and it is still very possible to get what you want. Even in 10 weeks! Plan! Plan! Plan! And lots of lists! Pinterest was a god send for unique ideas. Lots of DIY ideas saved us lots of money and asking family and friends to help out as much as possible.
