Total girl crush on Helen and her beautiful gown. She looks stunning in it doesn’t she? Her flower girls are so cute and I love the use of purple throughout. My favourite part is definitely all the family wedding photos, it is so simple but means so much to those attending, especially if it includes those who will not be in attendance. It’s something I wish I had done for my own day.

James Grist – We met James at a wedding fair at the Grasshopper and we were very impressed with his portfolio. We knew that he would take excellent photos whilst also making us feel at ease. He captured some fantastic moments both at our engagement shoot and on the wedding day. Since the day, so many guests have complimented us on how professional he was and the amazing quality of photos he has posted of our wedding on his website.

Grasshopper Inn, Westerham, Kent We always wanted our wedding to feel like a big party and celebration, so we didn’t want a venue that was too formal. When we visited this country pub we thought that it was really relaxed and felt more personal than many of the other venues we had visited. The wedding suite was completely separate from the rest of the pub, which made it feel as private as any other venue and it had many beautiful tudor features.
The mother of the bride and the groom’s sister kindly baked a selection of cakes for our cake table, which had vinyl record cake stands to link to our music theme for the day
All provided by the venue. Guests ate salmon gravlax, followed by roast lamb and dauphinoise potatoes, with apple tart and pear ice cream for dessert.
An acoustic duo, named Acoustic Air played while guests had canapés & champagne.
I made the place names and menus for the tables, which were all matching with the same beautiful vintage lace that I found at a market. I also made our table numbers with old vintage records and we named the tables after our favourite bands. John made the table plan, which tied in with our music theme for the day.
Dora Kovacs – Dora was amazingly helpful and I would recommend her to any bride. She worked within quite a small budget and suggested lots of new ideas, which was really useful as I knew very little about flowers to begin with! I loved my bridal bouquet, it was exactly what I had asked for.
We donated money to Cancer Research, and gave guests Cancer research pin badges as a gift.
We went to Australia for 3 weeks. We had an amazing honeymoon, travelling first to Sydney then a week long road trip up the East Coast, followed by a week on the Great Barrier Reef. It was bliss!
