{inspiration} moonrise kingdom | uk wedding blog

It has been a while since we have pinched something from the wonderful Sara from Burnetts Boards, but I saw this Moonrise Kingdom board and had to reblog it.

It is a bizarre film. I watched it when I was bed bound with an infection and doped up on various drugs a few weeks ago, I kind of thought in my drug addled haze that I didn’t really get it. So I watched it again. And it was even better the second time. Wes Anderson hadn’t made a film in a while, his last was Fantastic Mr Fox, which I didn’t enjoy because of the Americanisation (is that a word?) of it. Before that; Life Aquatic, Royal Tenenbaums and The Darjeeling Limited.

It is a beautiful little love story, and a film I think you should enjoy this winter. If you have seen it then you will know how perfect this board is

You gotta do it so I know you\'re real! *

Ha, no you shouldn’t. I was just disappointed that it wasn’t voiced by British actors as we have grown up with it for years. Roald Dahl was a British institution. You don’t mess with that!

This is such an amazing idea for an engagement shoot. I’m yet to meet any fellow Wes Anderson fans as clients 🙁 As soon as I do I’m springing on it! Although being by the seaside it may be easier to do Life Aquatic. I already have a Team Zissou member’s badge sorted 🙂
