I have the pleasure in presenting another fantastic florist, this time she is Yorkshire based! There are so many different and wonderful florists to chose from and its important to build a good rapport with the one that you select to make your wedding look and smell gorgeous! It helps if they like gin…

A bit of history about you:
I grew up in beautiful Yorkshire in sunny Otley, travelled round the world, went to university in Newcastle to do Sociology, spent to much time eating, dancing and in Topshop, became a florist, worked in a few shops, left to set up Leafy Couture to specialize in weddings, got married this year after a stunning proposal after a picnic in Kew gardens from Neil who I have known for nearly 15 years, now expecting first baby in May, happy happy days!

A bit of history in to the background of the business, what you offer.
We offer a bespoke service for brides helping them theme their flowers and also we have huge range of vases, candelabra and cake stands. Our bridal designs have been featured in national magazines including Wedding and Wedding Flowers magazine. We love all things weddings and seek inspiration from everywhere, enjoying all the vintage styles at the moment but also classic, modern and romantic.

We travel all over Yorkshire but have been as far as London and Belfast.
We also have a flower school where brides can come and learn how to create there own flowers or hen party’s where they can have a glass of fizz and have fun with friends and family.
You must get asked this a lot..what is your favourite and least favourite flower?
Its so hard to choose! I love seasonal flowers so spring- rannnculus, summer peonies, roses especially David Austin, autumn hydrangeas, dahlias, winter red ilkex berries and sumptuous foliages. Tastes and trends change in the beginning I hated gyp and carnations but now they can be used to look amazing when used on their own, a big silver urn of gyp can look amazing.
Best part of your job?
Opening the deliveries is like Christmas every week, meeting so many happy brides all the time, working with my team of amazingly talented girls and the bridal floristry  industry is an exciting place to be,  as there is always something new happening.
Anything else you would like to add? E.g – next wedding fair you are at, or magazine you are in? Have you done flowers for the stars yet?!
We proud to once again be in the latest issue of Wedding Flowers magazine. We are just starting to write our own Leafy Couture blog to help brides planning their flowers.
We have done flowers for some fabulous clients, and a lovely Yorkshire Cricketer!
We will be at wedding fayres at Benevolent Brides, Harrogate, Harewood House, The Craiglands Hotel, Chevin Country Park Hotel, The  Vintage Wedding Fayre. And the Village hotel Leeds over the next few months.
